Las Olas Boulevard was constructed in 1917, when Las Olas was just a dirt road that crossed the swampy wetlands to the barrier island in Fort Lauderdale Beach. The Las Olas Isles were dredged in the 1920s to create land for the areas most picturesque waterfront residential district.

What a difference almost 100 years can make!

Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, Ocean Access Canals, and the New River, a wide array of homes in Las Olas Isles are waterfront properties that offer deep and wide canals without fixed bridges.

Many homes in Las Olas Isles were originally small homes built in the 1940’s, on lots of, on average, ¼ acre. Since that time, many subsequent owners have purchased double or triple lots, and have built much larger homes. Homes are a mixture of original construction, significantly remodeled homes, and new construction (original home was demolished).
